It seems like people in the Law School can't use the toilet properly. In the stalls there's posters showing you how to sit properly on the toilet, is this all around UniMelb or just the law students who don't know how to use it properly? ;)

I also see these posters in the FBE building. I find it funny that they put them in probably the cleaner areas of the campus. Places like Union house or Richard berry are disgusting by lunchtime on most days.

I didn't even know that there were toilets on the ground floor of the chem building o.O
I wouldn't so much call them toilets as an open point to the sewerage system.

I feel like this is a really stupid question, but how do you enter The Spot on weekends? The doors (both revolving and the one from FBE) were locked today, and my student card didn't unlock them when I scanned it.

I feel like the revolving doors weren't locked the few times I (successfully) went on weekends in the past.

Don't do research kids. You'll spend your weekends writing ethics applications whilst your friends send you snapchats of parties.

Tfw subject has retarded assignment worth 12.5% but you can't drop the subject because it is capstone.

How the flying fuk do I use PubMed...and what in the actual fuk is the Vancouver style of referencing?

Srs they never taught us how to use all these databases and here I am a couple hours later still fking around in ncbi trying to find the number of single nucleotide variants of LDLR...except I can't find any type of search function that let's me do this and I haven't found any guides on how to do it either.

MD research isn't the real research life.

I got stuck outside Neuroscience just now (ie, late) in the rain because my cars starter motor is fucked and the racv told me this but I chose to drive it anyway.  It wouldn't turn on so I had to coax someone from my lab out of PDI and onto Royal Pde to literally hit it with a plastic umbrella whilst I turned over the engine - it worked right away.  It was too afraid to ask the strangers passing by because I thought they would think I was insane for trying to use an umbrella to force my engine to start but it all turned out okay in the end.  This was the second time it happened today - the first time was in fucking university square carpark because I was FORCED to park there due to graduation or whatever other ridiculous and trivial event going on that caused 5 million people to try and park at uni when it's usually relatively quiet at the time I was trying to arrive.

EDIT; oh yeah THE POINT of me telling that story is that I thought I would have to post on here and see if anyone just happened to be studying in the Spot tonight that could come and hit my car with the umbrella.

Ahh, weekend uni.  I need to remember not to drive in next week - that's open day, right!?

*waves* from Barcelona. PhD research is great, got sent to Sicily for a 10 day summer school that involved more eating, drinking, socialising and partying than it did school #nerdnation #fearthetree.

Did you try pushing the green button next to the door?

Nope. Anyway, I can't tell if you're being serious... Must have missed it if there was one. :o

My card also doesn't open the Giblin Eunson library doors during extended hours. :(

Having a student card doesn't let you into every building on campus all the time. Go to your student centre and tell them what areas you'd like access to and they'll let you know whether you're allowed or not.
