Omg im actually gonna die, uni is so different from school, because idk where to get help... i mean i came from a school with only about 30 a year 12 too a Bsc with over 2000!!! Anyone where I can get help for physics and calculus
For physics I believe there's the Laby Ideas centre in the physics building. I didn't go there much but I think it has a tutor or two there to answer questions, and a place to sit and work if you want to do that.
For calculus there are the consultation sessions where you can go to ask your questions, but make sure you know what to ask. Alternatively, you could always ask someone in your tutes / doing the subject :)

I haven't gotten that high but I've gotten a few 90+. Note most of these were in mathsy subjects so it would be a bit different for a written subject.

Make sure you do every assignment thoroughly. They may not be worth many marks individually but combined they are very important. Cross check with friends if you can.
Make sure you can do the tute questions and understand what's in the lecture slides. Do practice exams to see where your weaknesses are (I didn't do as many as I should have, for some I only looked over one. Doing more would definitely be helpful). If you can do the additional practice problems, even better.
Make sure you understand both the concepts and have memorised formulae / key points- you don't want to waste time trying to remember what it is but you also have to understand how to derive it.
Be prepared for the exam, get there early, don't stress too much, eat and sleep well etc.
Do an exam strategy that works best for you. That may be doing the SA / longer questions first so when you get tired at the end you just have more simple MC questions. It could also be doing MC first to get it out of the way so you can dedicate more time to the harder questions. It depends on you.
Read the longer questions during reading time so you have the maximum time to think about it.

This is all I can think of atm but hope it helps. Keep in mind there is some luck involved, being lucky enough to have a nice exam, getting good sleep, having a nice / harsh marker etc. You just have to prepare the best you can :)

To the older(ish) students on here, when an academic transcript is required to apply for an internship, is it sufficient to upload the unofficial statement of results you can get emailed, or do I have to folk out 30 something dollars for the official transcript ...?  :-\ Thanks

It's sufficient to upload the unofficial statement of results. Some companies like Telstra for example, require you bring the formal if you make it to the AC (assessment centre) - but if they don't explicitly state formal/official required, then the statement of marks is enough :)

Most likely yes (I know Philosophy and Anthropology are). It's probably best to confirm with your tutor though.

I know that this is a thing, but was wondering if it's more like a de facto rule or something; are we allowed to bring in prepared sections for pracs? As in, pre-write parts of the prac report and bring it in, or answer some questions before hand and bring it in? It's just cause in every prac I see people with legit everything written (aside from calculations of course - but they've done the crux of it and leave in blanks for the data they'll get during the prac), and then there's me struggling to finish on time.  :'( :'(
if you are given the prac sheets beforehand I don't see why not.

@monash usually a good proportion of my prac group (For the unit in which I have assesed pracs we do them in small groups) has each individually done the prac questions so during the prac it's only about choosing who has the better answer or combining answers along with doing the experiment.

For those that have had experience with Turnitin, can we keep resubmitting essays up until the due date? This program is completely foreign to me. But I have, however, heard that many students use it to check for plagiarism quotas. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance for any feedback  :)

^Depends on the subject as I'm fairly sure there's an option that tutors can select that lets them allow for re-submissions until the due date. That being said, this is really rare and should assume that it isn't enabled. I think I've submitted at least 15 things on turnitin and only 1 has let me resubmit, meaning it's standard practice for your first upload to also be your final. Worst case scenario is e-mailing your tutor before the due date explaining the situation if you accidentally upload a draft or something.

Click on the grey square with a white circle and play icon in it (on the far right) in the lectures list within the lecture capture page, then click on 'download original'

has anyone done corp law? The reviews here saw H1 is achievable but I know AN is full of high achievers...

wondering if I should drop it or not considering I have to get H1 in everything from now on so Idk if it's worth the risk

dropped it yet? I'm doing the same subject this sem, I've done tax law too and they're extremely similar format wise (same class, similar assessment format) and content wise (lots of legislation, case law, writing and arguing)

H1 is always "achievable" but I put the most amount of effort (which isn't much as I'm a huge slacker) into Tax Law and it was my lowest grade that semester, being similar subjects I don't really think Corp Law is exactly the best candidate for an easy H1
