I don't even know which building Redmond Barry is…..
I am always in the ERC.  I thought it was where all the science kids hung out!

EDIT: Oh, Redmond Barry is the Biology building?  Is there even a study room in there?  I thought it was all labs and tute rooms and crap toilets.

I would get a transdermal glucagon patch for $1700. They're testing a new method of delivering an old drug rather than a completely new drug.

simpak - Thank you very much for the advice! It really helps to have a third party opinion. I think I will, especially as it will help me develop empathy as a prospective researcher.

El - Haha, this the PDF they linked to if it helps http://clinicalstudies.com.au/locker/data/public/89da07bc05523ede93d31e89e8fa4317.php?lang=en
I just realized the reimbursement is actually $1,737.50. The study is called 'Evaluation of the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of a single application of a ZP-Glucagon transdermal patch at various application sites, compared to an intramuscular injection of GlucaGen, in healthy volunteers'. They should rename it 'A Completely Arbitrary Numerical Value Assigned as Financial Reimbursement.'

Levi - DEATH OVER RELINQUISHING MY HIDING SPOT. I'll message you on facebook! I might be in on Wednesday, Friday or Monday if you're around.

Russ - ZP-Glucagon and GlucaGen are different, but they are described as very similar. Thank you! I think I've been persuaded.

Redmond Barry is half psychology, half biology, just like my degree. n_n

The lounges near the tutor offices in Redmond Barry are never used but they're also couches, not desks :/
There seem to be a -lot- of empty rooms in the RB but I don't know how many of them are student-accessible.

WTF? $1700 for slapping on a glucagon skin patch??

I would be willing to way worse things than that for $1700....

It could mess up with your body though. We are just learning in biochemistry about how toxic glucose is because it can easily get oxidised. But very much doubt a couple of glucagon patches would do any harm...

"Glucose is a highly reactive aldehyde and glycation in diabetes underlies circulatory problems leading to limb amputation and blindness."
:D :) ;D :D :) ;D :D :) ;D :D :) ;D :D :) ;D :D :) ;D

You need years of increased glucose to start to cause diabetic neuropathy or microvascular disease, one glucagon patch isn't gonna do it.
