According to the Chemistry department, my labs are on Tuesdays at 2pm despite selecting Tuesday at 9am on the timetable. Have they moved me or am I misunderstanding something? :S

Oh I also forgot to tell you all about my wonderful adventure I had on campus today.

I decided I'd do a trial run so I knew where all my classes were, except I managed to get incredibly lost (or stuck) a number of times... I managed to walk into a staff-only area, interrupt both a lecture and a tutorial, enter a laboratory with prohibited access and get stuck in a deserted basement. Fun times... #jaffylyfe

All I can say is thank goodness for Lost on Campus. :|

Can someone provide me with a source of motivation to study in order to get into Melbourne? :D  I'm lacking with my ability to sit down and study and have crammed the first 5-6 SACS I've had so someone, for the love of Melbourne, motivate me to achieve the ATAR to get into MelbARTS.

I bought a UniMelb jumper in third term. That spurred me on because I was too much of a tight arse to let that go to waste.

The German department told me I had to change some of my classes since, while they don't stream groups, they apparently require you to remain in the same one for the duration of the subject. As a result, I now have five 9am starts every week :')

"Hallo Oakley,

staying in one group does assist with your progress through the semester. The tutor and fellow students will remember you much better, you'll feel more comfortable in a group of students you know well, etc.
Also: not each group will work at the same pace...so that you may find significant discontinuity in terms of material covered between groups from week to week.

But if your own timetable doesn't permit this...you'll have to make do.

See you next week.
Kind regards,
Stefan"

this email scared me into rearranging classes, is it worth it? D:

That's not the extended hours zone - you can only go on the ground floor (ie the floor you walk into with the library help desk) during the extended hours but not upstairs levels!

Hi guys, when you make notes for your subjects, do you summarise the textbook or just annotate the lecture slides? Sorry if this sounds like such a jaffy question...thanks ;D

To people that did ECON10004, can I use the American version of "Principles of Microeconomics" by Mankiw? The Australian version is really expensive.
In the reviews one user said both the American and the Australian versions are exactly the same but I just want to confirm if possible.
