loll. Some jackass came up behind me through the crowds near the chemistry building and announced through a microphone something about fighting the Liberals and 'fuck the budget', or whatever. Way too close to my ear. So I screamed, much louder than him and without a microphone, "Shut the fuck up just shut the fuck up" and something about him being an asshole? idr. And everyone stared. And someone mentioned that there are  Liberals on campus, to which I replied to the affirmative. Although I'm not Liberal but a centrist; I just think it's a bit silly that people follow me with pamphlets and sign up sheets when I've replied no. They're the same people who shout slogans like "NO DOESN'T MEAN CONVINCE ME"...

That anecdote in itself isn't interesting, but what I found amusing that the crowds were there for 'wellness week' and 'positive thinking', or something. My positive thinking is great when hippies don't have microphones.

:( it's not my fault this is a core subject

*breeze through the swaying deciduous trees mentions a neuroscience major seems like a lot of fun*

Can be caused by high levels of lactose digestion or high fibre diets, contributing to carbon dioxide, hydrogen and methane production ♥

I've been listening to lecture captures due to the midsem test, and  realized yesterday that for the Human Physiology 10 AM lecture on May 01 ~edited the link out because of copyright stuff~ at 35:54 you can hear me yell 'shut the fuck up' at the noisy boys in the row behind me. The entire lecture goes quiet and the lecturer says, 'Oh...kay...' before everyone has a lol.

It's sad the lecture capture didn't the part where I repeatedly called them morons ;c

Hahahah I promise I'm not usually like that ;_; I asked them to be quiet three times after they noisily arrived late and continued talking after realizing they couldn't catch up to the content, and they ignored it because I'm non-intimidating and tiny sitting alone in the front row~

Listening to lecture captures is unnerving when you keep hearing your voice. http://content.lecture.unimelb.edu.au:8080/ess/portal/section/c0c1f3e7-fb9c-4f1b-b76c-b3dded081449 On May 14 when I'm sitting in the front row at the end of the lecture and there are a few people at the front to ask questions, you hear the lecturer ask who goes first. At 5:49 I respond with something like, "Oh no I didn't have a question, I'm just on facebook" ahahha. The subject is genuinely fun, but  unconscious = end of 8 AM lectures.

"The maximum likelihood estimates (MLEs) of parameters are the parameter values that maximize the likelihood."

WTF THAT IS NOT A DESCRIPTION.  WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?
I hate this assignment so fucking much.

If you have a set of observations from some probability distribution, the likelihood function is the product of the conditional p.d.f. evaluated at each observation, given the parameter value. Note that this can be interpreted as a probability.

The idea is to pick the value of the parameter which is "most likely" to be true.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maximum_likelihood

That's a weird kinda off-hand description for them to give :P

For the GEMSAS transcripts we don't need to send 3rd year ones since they haven't come out yeah? Like they'll automatically get them later?

And is there a way to get an online transcript? Goodnight sweet money.
