Okay, I'm sorry that I want to get the best out of myself.

All the same, I'll try not to post on here any more if it is a nuisance. Probably is, thanks for alerting me.

The people who post on the UoM boards are happy to answer any questions that you have regarding the university, it's okay if you post here! Maintaining a positive attitude throughout VCE CAN be the difference between you getting into UoM and not making it. I know plenty of people that I completed year 12 with who underperformed in the end because they had lost confidence in themselves, despite being very smart individuals.

Even if you aren't getting the results you believe you deserve, if you persevere you will get there in the end and all the hard work you put in will pay off. :)

To those who have been adding their subject reviews and ratings over the past few days: Thank you!

b^3 and I curate the index of those threads, and it's a really great thing to see people sharing their views on subjects - this, in my mind, is a very useful resource for AN to have and it's fantastic that people are weighing in and providing useful information in an easy-to-read format.

Thanks again :)

How is saying getting 92+ ATAR is beyond you trying to get the best out of yourself?

If you really want to get the best out of yourself, just study instead of worrying about something 6 month in the future that is completely out of your control right now.

It's not that i want you to stop posting. But your attitude in your posts are just detrimental to what you want to achieve. Low ATAR score is not the end of everything, there are so much other opportunities once you finish high school.

You are becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy and i would hate for you to do that to yourself.

2 books might be of interest to you if you wish to get the best out of yourself (in regards to your academia):

Make It Stick and The Motivation Hacker you'll find extremely useful. The former involves studying (backed by empirical evidence - the most effective ways to study happen to be the least intuitive) and the latter involves motivation (not backed by any scientific information, but such is the case for something arbitrary like volition).

I didn't want to do BSc or BBiomed, I wanted to go to beauty school

I still want to drop out and enroll in beauty school

Hotties of Melbourne University is a thing?

This is a point of difference dude. BCMB which isn't available to biomed offers 'different' things to MCB that you won't learn in MCB either. I'm guessing we go into much more detail if we don't cover immunology.

Those difference make the course better to some people? That's the whole point of 'better' - on the balance you prefer the differences.

I want to get the best out of myself.

Everyone here seems to be wanting that too. Or else there wouldn't be so many encouraging replies with really good advice.

But reading your previous post you don't sound like you 'want to get the best' out of yourself.

If you really do, you can start by thanking everyone on here who replied to your posts and actually taking their advice.

okay my reply was little late but good start ;)

Yeah ok, I agree that is a good point.

Thank you to everyone for the book recommendations, to the course resources, to the attitude advice etc... Even if I am not in the best of moods, I appreciate every single comment on this forum. Thank you again, can't sing enough praise! :)

I guess....but not really an objective benefit...Just a matter of preference. The thing about monash med is definitely a benefit for biomed if you are wanting to do med.

Also no biomed student here chose biomed back in year 12 because they knew MCB had immunology and BCMB didn't.

God I wish some third years would though. Hint hint everyone....

So true! I did a quick glance at the list and it looks like there's fewer than 10 Lvl 3 subject reviews. :(

Probably due to a few factors.. maybe for many reviewers by the time they get to third year they don't go on ATARnotes anymore.

They're about the only reviews of third year subjects there, but they could definitely do with an update so yes please :D

Is the ATARnotes collection of subject reviews the most extensive on the web? Just curious if any other websites have reviews as well.
