Hey,

Anyone on AN have their practice exam from BIOL10004 (from previous years) still with them, on a digital copy?

Section D has some essay style questions, and I have done all the ones that were on the exam provided to the 2014 cohort, but I fear that I haven't fully understood of the concepts, so I was wondering if anyone had their exam still, if you were able to email it to me? or post it here. I really wish that they had gave us more exams.

Thanks.

PS: sorry if this sort of requesting isn't allowed for some reason.
Also, to make things clear, I already have the one on the LMS and have completed it, i'm just looking for more questions to do, that's why I need the previous years ones. Thanks again

So true! I did a quick glance at the list and it looks like there's fewer than 10 Lvl 3 subject reviews. :(

Probably due to a few factors.. maybe for many reviewers by the time they get to third year they don't go on ATARnotes anymore.

God I wish some third years would though. Hint hint everyone....

I'll definitely be posting some reviews for some 3rd year subjects (relating to physiology/neuroscience majors) after my exams!
2012-2014. BSc: Neuroscience. University of Melbourne.
2015-2018. Doctor of Optometry. University of Melbourne.

Unlikely to respond to any PMs these days.

Thanks for that guys, I'm not the fittest person so it might take a little longer. I'm just wondering because I have 2 exams on one day and I'll have to walk from REB to uni and back again :/ Unless anyone knows of any good places to study nearby?

Even from the very edge of the university (Grattan/Swanston intersection), walking at my very brisk pace, it takes me at LEAST 10 minutes to get to Rathdowne St (I live one block away from the REB, and the fastest I've ever gotten to the corner of campus was 7 minutes). REB is ~1.2, 1.3 kms from uni, I think, if that helps anyone block it out for themselves.

Also, Bardia Saeedi, if you know the content from the lectures, and write it down in the written response, you'll get marks for it :) Don't worry so much about the style of writing; people do really well even with the one practice exam! I'd focus on going over your notes more now, if you've already done the questions. You can even write your own "essay" (totally not essay) questions if you want to; the questions are just asking for things you've learned from a set of lectures, or even a single lecture. I'm sure you'll ace the exam if you care as much as it seems you do :)

Thanks for the extremely quick response!!

Hey by the way, one question. Seeing how my.unimelb is being repaired, and we can only access our exam timetable, where can I see what seat number I have?

It is to be in my.unimelb but, now it doesn't actually show my seat number, it's blank!

Should I just turn up earlier and find my student id and check the seat number, or email the co-ordinators of each of my subjects?

It'd be great to see some updated Semester 2 reviews for physiology and neuro subjects :)

hmmm, just wondering if stressing myself out by spending 20 minutes brisk walking on exam day is worth it or not haha. Thanks for the help! :)

I find walking really relaxing, especially right before a significant event

Anyway it'll take me about 40 minutes to get there - 20 min bus ride, 20 min train ride, 2 minute walk from Parliament station

No matter how fast you walk, it's a liiiittle more than 2 minutes from Parliament station :/

I think writing reviews is fine as long as you keep it general, but now I feel as if I could be watched at any moment it just aint happening for me.

what are your thoughts on doing practice exams with no answers to them... pointless or not?

Not pointless!! It's good to get an idea of the kinds of questions that could pop up on the exam, plus you can always find answers by going through your notes/textbook or discussing them with your friends.

I had a question about scholarships, specifically the KLD relocation allowance.

Just talked to someone, they said they have received (2 months ago) it but I haven't yet.

They said that they filled a form on the student portal, about 2 months ago.

I don't remember being told of this form, am I too late to still receive it?

Who should I email about it?
Also, WHY DOES THE PORTAL HAVE TO BE DOWN DURING EXAM PERIOD!!!!>!>!>!111

You had to fill out the form to get the relocation allowance. They also tend to point a really quick due date on the form because they're massive tight arses. Just e-mail the KLD coordinator and say that you never got the form and you don't know what's going on and blah blah. If they never sent it to you, you should be fine.
