Ballerina, you should take Fire in the Australian Landscape with me! Daphane's also taking it, so I decided to swap linguistics to next year and take this class instead <3
https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/2014/EVSC30005 somehow a breadth
If not, I'm sure we can find a mutual breadth for Semester Two, 2015.

^ By taking Living Longer: A Global Diagnosis yayyyy

That wasn't really what I was referring to. :S

Then evidently you would have to clarify

Hahaha nope, wrong person :P
I'm below average height .. :-[ LOL
I think there were 2 prac classes? I went to the Friday late afternoonish one XD

Oh wow 3 science students in CompNu, record. I think there were 3, I went to the first Thursday one. Kristy is the most amazing marker ever, I accidentally wrote that nutritional guidelines state we should consume 420 - 980g of salt a day (...a kilogram of salt a day...) and she didn't mark me down ahahaha. The average for assignments is apparently 60-70%, so I don't think results will be modulated.

More the hygiene side of things... Keyboards are generally known for their dirtiness and germs, unless you're a freak like me and clean it with antibacterial spray every day.

(I may or may not take hand sanitiser with me to practicals.)

(I may or may not take hand sanitiser with me to practicals.)

Germs are ubiquitous, food on a keyboard will make no difference. That bakery item will have been in a paper bag that was made from trees crawling in fungi, the bakery item itself will have been sitting on a shelf that hasn't been properly cleaned in some time and may have had an insect accidentally trapped within at some point, before being picked up with gloves by a hospitality employee who used the same gloves to touch doorknobs, a cash register, tie his shoe. I tend not to be irrational regarding germ theory, the point of which is to prevent disease spreading, unless it's related to bathrooms. The only point at which cake on a keyboard is irrelevant is if you have an impaired immune system.

I AM NOT TAKING THAT SUBJECT
Any other suggestions at -all- are welcome.

I'm so curious now omg

As a medicine hopeful, you should know better :P You're creating superbugs unnecessarily (and there is absolutely no way you need to sanitise your keyboard o_o) :u

Good point, but I thought I should point out I'm not a medicine hopeful (or not just yet anyway).

It is the biggest bludge subject ever, you don't know what your missing out on.
It has the best forms of assessment anyone could ask for.
2012-2014. BSc: Neuroscience. University of Melbourne.
2015-2018. Doctor of Optometry. University of Melbourne.

Unlikely to respond to any PMs these days.

Also, EVERYTHING is covered in fungal spores. You just eat your food before they start forming branching mycelia, and mould has been on/in your food before the fruiting bodies (the colour) are visible. There is fungus all over your skin, and on your keyboard. You're not helping anyone, including yourself, by sanitising your keyboard. Even after practicals, soap and water for mechanical removal is far more sensible than using antibacterial hand sanitiser.

Sometimes I feel guilty for wasting $1000 on a bludge subject when I could be expanding my horizons and developing as an individual

And then nope

I still don't know what to think about the hygiene hypothesis; the postulation that being raised in an environment hygienic to the point of redundancy can cause asthma and allergies in children. It's not as interesting as the thrifty gene hypothesis, though. n_n Pretty sure based off those photos on the last page, my mother participated in the Dutch Hunger Winter.

Hearing all this microbe stuff is really interesting but also really confronting hahaha. I'm sure my worries will (hopefully?) be allayed as I learn more about this sort of stuff. :)

It's bludge-y in terms of assessment (and the classes are all very informal), but the content is interesting nonetheless.
I'd rather spend $1000 on a subject which will optimize my GPA :D
