I'm pretty sure the worst part of the semester is not the exams themselves, it's waiting for the results.

PhD 2016-??? Melbourne

Someone here will know, anybody who did the UMAT back in the day, how much harder is MedEntry? So say, 50th percentile in MedEntry translates to what kind of percentile for normal UMAT?

By the way, congrats Levilamp, you bloody champ! #drseussreborn

So hang on.  I just read that class registration opens on Monday 30th June.  But two of my subjects are dependant on the results of a subject I took in Semester 1.  i.e. I will only be accepted into Chem 2 and Biocellular Systems Engineering with an 85%+ in Fundamentals of Chem, which I'm confident I'll get but I can't officially enrol in those two subjects until I've gotten approval from the co-ordinator after results are released.

So... what.  Do I just miss out on getting the classes I want????

For chem 2 there's the staggered release but i'm sure the student centre will help you find a place for the other subject if need be :)

So...since class registration is on Monday...anyone got any tips(other than mashing f5) that would be helpful in getting past the 10am lag? I got a nice timetable set up but it relies on getting specific tutes which might be taken pretty quickly on the day.

Just get a solid internet connection and exercise patience. I've never had an issue.

That would mean a whole lot of other people won't be confirmed, so you shouldn't have an issue of those classes being filled too fast on Monday.

^ I think most people would be confirmed because there are no level 2 prerequisites for research-based physio. Many enrolled at the start of the year as the students filling the quota for both semester 1 and 2 was primarily determined at the start of the year.

A minority of semester 2 places were available near the end of semester 1 (near the end Charles quoted a figure like 30?) and placement is based on academic record this round as well. If they haven't accepted your proposal for one of the last minute spots, maybe scramble at 9 AM Monday to check if there is an error? If not no worries, those last spots seemed really competitive; lots of my friends were vying for them. Charles mentioned there are ways to still major in physiology without having taken that class in second year, if that's your interest.
