So, when I first tried to enrol in my D-LANG, I was called by a woman from the Faculty of Arts who told me they disliked accepting first-year students into the diploma, and that I should cross-credit my first two subjects from breadth (German 1 and 2) into the D-LANG. I told her that I didn't want to cross-credit, because I wanted space for breadth subjects in my degree, but she told me it wasn't something she would let me do without a good reason (there's no university policy preventing a student from starting the diploma in first year, and no indication this is unusual on the page for the course, or in the sample course plans). I was timid and gave in, and promptly forgot I wanted my breadth spaces to take Intensive Latin over summer (because it's extremely useful in biological taxonomy, which is something I'd like to do in the future). I just realised I can no longer do this, because of the four breadth spaces I had set aside to use at the start of 2013, two are occupied by German 1 and 2 (and one by a Lv1 linguistics class I really don't want to drop); the intensive class is worth 25 points, but I only have 12.5

I was wondering if anyone who's taking/has taken a concurrent diploma thinks there's any possibility the student centre would be able to transfer German 1 and 2 from my science degree over to my diploma, especially since I never intended (initially) to cross-credit my German subjects, or if cross-crediting cannot be undone. I'd imagine it's administratively possible to alter the study plans, but I'm not sure if they'd be willing to and I'm freaking out. The websites say nothing on the matter, and I'm afraid the same woman will be who I end up contacting (she was pretty frightening).
