I got one a while back, they changed my 2 hour workshop to a 3 hour prac. They didn't give a reason though...

Always happens to me. I just make sure to get my official timetable the day uni starts to ensure my classes are 100% correct.

Thanks everyone for their responses. The notification was for Intro Macro, so I guess they probably added extra tutes considering it's a fairly large subject. I was pretty worried that the timetabling system changed one of my tutes but all is good...for now

I'm celebrating the return of undergrads to campus by being on campus all night (whyyy) and then going home super late and still cooking lunch so I don't have to walk anywhere near union house tomorrow and encounter any of you <3

Enrolled myself in 7 subjects just for LOLs. In case anyone was curious, the timetable template colours for subjects beyond 4 are pale yellow (#5), light green (#6), and light blue (#7).

I loathe myself.

The most importantly question really is at what stage do they resort to brown/black/grey/white?

I am really nervous that I will get lost on campus. One of my classes says it is in "Physics Sth Pod 202". What does this mean? Is this the building north of Elisabeth Murdoch theatre and East of Redmond Barry theatre, or am I mistaken?

Also, what is the difference between "Redmond Barry Lowe" and "Redmond Barry Rivett"?

It means Physics South Podium.  It is in the Physics building, and you are referring to the correct place.
Those are different lecture theatres in the same building.

Best safeguard is to get the lost on campus app:

UoM | Bachelor of Environments (Civil Systems): 2012-2014 | Master of Engineering (Civil): 2015-2016 |

Feel free to shoot me a PM pertaining to getting to M.Eng through the Environments course, or the Envs/Eng courses in general.

any of these lecturers any good for physics?
Prof Ray Volkas
Dr Andrew Melatos

Melatos is an absolute gun at physics and his lectures (for second year physics) were very clear and his notes were amazing. Though notorious for setting incredibly hard exam questions. But they end up scaling massively so that's a plus.
