Anyone find the elen20005 exam really hard? does that last question, Q12 count, or was that just a bonus question?

Just do all the practise exams. Half the logic questions were literally exactly the same as the practise exam. even if the circuits are tricky, if you've seen them before and understand them, you should be able to reproduce them without too much difficulty.
Same as the programming questions. The exam questions were really similar/almost the same as the practise exams. If you've done them and understand them, you shouldn't have a problem.
Pretty sure the reason why they don't give you practise mcqs is because they reuse the same questions every year. :')

Thanks! That's a relief to know (and congrats on your H1, whoa). I'm guessing a lot of people don't get the whole exam done, then?

One of the questions I really ran into a lot of trouble with was about circuit design too. It was one where you couldn't use a truth table and you had to think through the logic kinda creatively. It seemed like proper assignment-level stuff and not really something you'd want to have to think through in exam conditions. Or maybe it's just because I don't know the material well enough yet... :P

i think if you look at the examples on the slides that will help. Most of the questions basically branch out from the examples.

I thought I flunked that ESD2 exam last year so bad and ended up with 85. It's generally quite repetitive from past exams. The programming is usually super predictable though last year i seem to recall a curveball? Or maybe I just had a freak out in the exam. But yeah... repetitive.

The amount of time I have put into that subject had better pay off. Literally like 5x more than my other ones just to get my head around the material.

Does anyone know if there's somewhere on campus I can leave a backpack for 3 hours (4-7pm)? I really don't want to use the container and don't want to go all the way home before the exam either :-/

They tend to open the doors 5-10 minutes early anyway, especially if there's a big crowd or the weather's bad, so everyone can get to their seats.

Especially if you're travelling by PT, give yourself half an hour to control for any disasters on the way.

I always have full-paranoia syndrome when it comes to being punctual for assessments. For some reason, for so many of my tests and practicals this year, I've rocked up either just in time or just a bit late, despite leaving early, since Metro just decides to troll with my line.

Now I sort of panic unless I arrive 1 hour early before exam times.

Seemed fairly in line with past papers to me, but obviously didn't have the new material on past papers to gauge (3-phase, transformers, etc.)

Felt like it was really long though - down to the wire on three hours...

Last Q counts. Only worth 7 marks though. (Exam is out of 100.)
