Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck

Check the exam support stall, they can hook you up, worst case scenario, just grab a calculator at a newsagent near the train station.

This! Don't panic! I'm sure there will be a student with a spare, just ask around.

And in the zero percent chance that you can't find one, just remember that 9 + 10 ≠ 21.

Hey Guys,

I have my COMP1000000002 (Foundations of Algorithms) exam Tomorrow afternoon and I'm wondering if anyone has practice exams (and possibly answers) from previous semesters because we're only given one, and while I feel confident in my knowledge going in I think having some more written coding practice would be swell in the lead up. If you have anything, please pm me!

Would love this as well. Do we have any old exams in the library though?

I had a look on the digital repository a while back and couldnt see anything, i dont know if this means the actual library has nothing

I'm going to email alistair and ask for one more practice, even without solutions, just to get my code handwriting up to scratch for tomorrow.

Luckily I left home early enough to grab a train back and still make it in the nick of time

On another note: why did they have to rotate the structure?! That bit screwed me over

I'm more nervous with the theory side of the course i.e loop invariants, KMP, BMH and all of that to be honest.

I know what you mean, I'm planning on re-watching some of the proof of correctness stuff tonight. Unfortunately i missed the KMP/BMH lectures due to the lectopia outage but I found a few youtube videos that explain how to do the preprocessing, and the general idea of the searching.

Lol I missed that two lectures as well, and unfortunately as I just found out recently, that part seems to be one of the most complex parts of the course. The disadvantage of being people at home oh well..

^^ COMP10002 lectures from last year. Enjoy. ;) They have KMP, BMH, etc on one of the recordings. But last year in the exam, Alistair only examined the KMP fail vector I believe.
Best practice for the exam would be to do all the textbook questions as well. Similar, if not the same, questions can pop up in the exam. Also be sure to learn your linked-lists, heaps, trees (in-particular operations that include traversal).
