Last exam was yesterday... now to spend the next 2.5 weeks obsessively refreshing the results page?!

The scariest part about my exam is knowing the results come out 24 hours later -__-

I wish that would happen with all subjects. Finding out results is the best part!!!
Especially if I were you simpak, because you get beyond phenomenal marks for everything!

During the exam they ask you to 'step outside' and during the time you linger in the hallway they discuss what your grade should be for the entire year.  Just while you stand there behind the door.
You do not want this for yourself, or anyone.

How much trouble do you reckon you would be in if you 'left your phone in there accidentally' recording their convo? >.<

How big is the jump in standards for essays/academic writing from Level 1 to Level 2?

I'm considering doing a 2-week intensive for breadth over summer (HPSC20015). The assessments are all essay-based but I've never written a uni essay (yet). If I do this subject I'll basically have to learn everything from scratch in a very short time... Good idea or bad idea?

I've never done a HPSC subject but I think the standards for academic writing don't change dramatically from level 1 to 2. However, from what I've experienced, they begin to get a lot more strict with specific stuff: things like proper referencing, good use of paragraphing, logical flow of arguments, proper quoting and paraphrasing (as opposed to direct quoting), clearly mentioning your contention/thesis statement right at the beginning and linking back to it at the conclusion of your essay. You'll notice though that as you do more essays/assignments that are heavily written-based your writing just kind of automatically becomes more refined and somewhat improved. Seriously, I was cleaning out my laptop the other day and stumbled across one of my 1st year essays and just cringed at my inability to reference properly lol! o_O haha I'm happy to send you some of my level 2/3 essays I've done if you think that'll help with referencing and all that essay structure/format stuff! :)

It's illegal in Vic to record a conversation you're not part of iirc, so it depends on whether they find out

Haha I would never actually do it.  Oh yeah I remember that time Odelia was so flipping mad when someone recorded her lectures for MIIM Techniques because they weren't put on lectopia.  We had a lecture on why we can't record lectures.

Hey guys I have no idea where this 'enrolment declaration' is or how to submit one, I've enrolled in all my 2015 subjects via the student portal though. Help?

EDIT: maybe enrolment declaration is only for first years or something? I'm going into second year.

It's the thing where you say you agree to sell your soul to The University of Melbourne or they'll punish you under relevant sections of federal law.

Not sure about undergrads re-enrolling but I had to do one at the start of this year before it would show me my study plan, then again after I accepted my MSc offer.

Results don't go up until after the exams (so Monday,) so only two weeks of results page refreshing.

Thats not going to stop me from refreshing every single minute from today on.

Now you describe it that way, it does sound kind of scary :/

GAMSAT UK results are out guiz.

Would people feel safe with a 67 Melbourne weighted score (68 standard) and a 6.9+ GPA? I think I might have to sit it again in March, but I doubt I will be able to improve on Section 2 & 3 any more, and Section 1 seems to be much more difficult to gauge how you went.
