Damn - I'd love to ditch my credits. :P Nah, but I don't see what all the fuss is... Just seems like two different ways of showing how "good" you are. GPA is a quick statement of your average grade, whereas WAM is a more accurate statement of your average score - both has advantages and disadvantages.

There are many kinds of GPA. SGPA still shows an average score. GPA for health sciences is on a 7 point scale where all h1 = 7.

Can't wait until my first semester grades are replaced in my average (because I'm doing 8 diploma subjects as well). They're so bad that they drag my average down by about 5.

That's probably not going to happen on your transcript fyi. I have some wam for terminated arts course on mine ; yet another reason it's stupid. Can never get arts course off my transcript even though I transferred after first year.

Don't know if anyone's doing it this Feb, but a couple of my friends did it in sem 2 this year and really enjoyed it.

Oh yeah I know, but at least then I'll be able to honestly say that my SGPA is X rather than X - 5 haha.
