Are there any penalties on only taking 3 subjects / 37.5 points (no breadth) for this semester? Do I need to speak with anyone? I've given up on registering for a 4th at this point

Does anyone know where I would have to go to find a tutor for BCMB20002 Biochemistry and Molecular Biology?

That subject is a struggle town

I don't blame you
It was awful for me last sem and one of my worst subjects last year
However it's just memory work; it should be doable without a tutor
Organise the different parts of the course
Draw diagrams
And revise regularly. That's crucial to the subject

Website has it listed as entry only been 7am-1am. Never tried as I normally just go to Alice Hoy if I'm there late at night.
How do you get access to Alice hoy? :O

Enrolled in a compsci subject that seems to give access.

For those who did the mid semester tests for BIO10004 and CHEM10003 last year, did you find them hard? Is it easy to complete in the given time?
Thanks
2014: VCE completed
2015-2017: BSc at Melb Uni

It is easy to complete in the given time if you have studied for them.

Mid sem 1 for bio was pretty doable
I didn't do too well though because I was still getting the hang of studying for bio. Second sem one was a lot better for me.

If it's the same as last year, the first CHEM10003 MST was on organics.

It was doable. Just make sure you go over lecture notes and make sure you actually know how to do the tutorial problems.

Also, CHEMCAL helps a lot, like A LOT. Go over the organics (first four weeks) and try the tests that they have, questions are usually similar.

All the best.

I didn't do chem 1 or chem 2 at UoM; I got around having to do those subjects and skipped straight to 2nd year chem. I am now able to finish a chemistry major this year. Don't know what major I'll want written on my transcript though.
