one of the best majors out there  ;) very organised and interesting. If your planning to do it do BCMB20005 Techniques in Molecular Science as if you like that subject I definitely recommend doing the biochem major.

I majored in it.

'Hardest' is in the eye of the beholder. I would hate a zoology major (and thus find it difficult) but I'm pretty interested in biochemistry, so I find it interesting. Most people only major in one thing anyway, so how can they get an idea of what's the hardest major? The subjects on the whole are very well run (so there's not a hurdle there,) some of the content can be difficult - but that should be expected at third year level, anyway. I wouldn't do the major unless you can tolerate prac work (the third year prac subject - BCMB30010 I think, has a reputation of being a lot of work. It's true, but it's doable as long as you put the work in).

Got scooped by the guy above me - if you enjoyed (and went well in) BCMB20005/BCMB20003 you should be set up well for the major.

Feel free to PM me (or reply here - preferred so others can read it if you're okay with that) any further questions.

(Honours is a whole different story. It's 9pm and I'm just finishing up for the day. Why am I still at uni?)
BSc (Hons) 2015 Melbourne

PhD 2016-??? Melbourne

Has anyone had a lecture in Sidney Myer lecture in the last week? My lecture wasn't recorded last Tuesday and I'm wondering if the technical issue has been resolved.

At the moment I'm only doing the first semester core (Functional Genomics and Bioinformatics) and that's actually pretty easy to be honest. Really interesting stuff too.

This assignment is seriously so trippy - there aren't any numbers in question 2 until you get to 2)d LMAO. Oh well, that should make things easier I hope  :-\

Sucks that there are so few UoM Biomed kids here. I'd love to meet some of you but most of my fellow 2014'ers are in Science  :'(

OH there's a BIOMED cocktail night Wednesday!! Anyone going to that? I will be there :P

Yeah come to think of it, you're probably right hahah. I think I just like it because it's been causing less pain and less stress than my other subjects. There have been a couple of interesting points though!

Major reason it's causing the least headaches is because pharm is an absolute dog of a subject.

After sitting GENE20001 MST 2, now I really get why so many people said this subject was easy.
