 for bcom you need 300 points to complete the degree right?
is each subject 12.5?
Also, like for example, looking at a handbook i got in my first year, it says

Level 3
Commerce:  Minimum 50 points
Breadth: no special requirement
Total minimum: 75

So if i do 3, level 3 accounting subjects,  12.5 x 3 =  37.5 points
what? how am i meant to do another level 3 subject to get the minimum 50?
and how am i meant to find level 3 breadth subjects? wtf?

so this is saying that you have to do a total of 6 level 3 subjects in total, with at least 4(but potentially all 6) being commerce. your best bet is 3rd year management subjects like notveryasian said as most of them dont have any/many prerequisites other than OB/intro micro/intro macro. you could do 2 level 3 breadth subjects on top of the 4 level 3 comm subjects, but if you dont see any that you like, you can just do 2 other level 3 commerce subjects (eg mgmt) instead, as there is no requirement saying that you HAVE to do level 3 breadth, as long as you have at least 4 breadth subjects in your degree and at least 1 of those breadth subjects is either level 2 or level 3, then you have met your breadth requirements for the Bcomm

Alastair's pharmacology lectures in BIOM20002 are weird... are we supposed to know all the examples of drugs he's slapped on the slides? He kind of just leaves them there hanging, or rushes through their mechanism in the space of five seconds. :S

I think it's good to know those drugs but seriously, they've never been assessed.

They never assess the drugs, but know the overarching details. Also beware Alastair's first lecture on the receptors and so on, you do need to know that. We got screwed with a really big question about it on last year's exam.

Anyone else having trouble with problem 3 of EDDA assignment 1? My specificity turns out to be greater than 1 which doesn't make any sense.  How does calculating probabilities using a cdf differ from regular probabilities tables?

It's unlikely, but does anyone know if the 125 level-1 point limit for Science can be circumvented, especially if it's a requirement to do a certain postgraduate course?

To be honest, it's probably something you'll have to fight with the student centre about (I'd probably say 'no'.)

You can do single subjects under the Community Access Program, but you pay full fees ($2000+).

Yup, you're not alone.

But have you spent time looking back on how you're studying? If things aren't translating into results then there might be some ways you could improve your studying.
