Lol, watches are now banned in exams:

"All watches included analogue, digital and smartwatches will need to be stored for the duration of your exam. These devices should be stored with other unauthorised materials, such as mobile devices, in a bag under your desk. Smartwatches must be switched off throughout the entire exam."

If you can't see any of the clocks at the REB, then good game.

Hope this means they'll actually get their clocks on the right time for once....

Seriously, why? Guess they are worried about people with smartwatches. Seems like a bit of an overreaction tbh.

Guess it doesn't affect me, I don't have exams anyway (I do have a thesis though).

Haha I was thinking the same thing. Are you also short-sighted but aren't 100% dependent on wearing glasses? I essentially wear mine for lectures and that's it.

Because letting people take entire bags in isn't going to cause cheating, but crikey, that wristwatch is sure to produce all of the answers!

In good news though, they've had some sense this time around and haven't scheduled 8am exams on cup day. Last year it had to be changed because people literally couldn't get in on time without a car.

Does anyone know how to get endnote to automatically load online sources (so I don't have to enter the information myself...)? Please and thank you!

Of all the places to move everything together they choose 757 Swanston? It's quite possibly the ugliest building on campus.

In their defense, they are renovating it! I believe that the plan is to eventually move all student service related things over there including UMSU so they wanted a location that was more centrally located on campus rather than union house for example, which is basically as far north you can get on the main part of the campus

And hey, at least it's not filled with asbestos like union house!

That BIOM20002 mid-semester test would've been difficult for those who didn't watch Charles' lectures - otherwise it was for the most part more straightforward (and importantly less pressured for time) compared to the first test. Honestly though, how a lecturer can tell you that you don't need to memorise the cells of the gastrointestinal tract (and hence not cover it) and then slap it on the test as the first short answer question is ludicrous.
