um guys I need help
I was certain I didn't want to do medicine but now... I think it could be an option.

Only problem is I've only completed fundamentals of chem so I don't have the prereqs for biochem. Any advice? I could possibly do chem1+2 this year but that'd mean I'd have to either decide against majoring in psych now + possibly have to enrol in a subject outside of my degree.. any chance of getting the prereqs wavered or going straight into chem 2? (keep in mind my result for chem10007 was only 68)

If you are talking about getting the prereq of biochemistry for medicine wavered then that's basically impossible.

and going straight into chem 2 would be a nightmare if you haven't done chemistry before.

I think chem 1 and 2 are both offered in the semester breaks for those who failed. Why not just do it then?

Doing med at another uni is another possibility. The only Victorian university possible to apply for would be Deakin. Also doing the prereqs outside of uni course could be possible but I'm not sure how you would go about doing this.

Or eternally wear your high school uniform around at uni so that you can cry when the PT officer says it's not a valid form of identification.

You're not going to be able to get biochem nor chem 1 wavered. Do Chem 1 in Sem 1, Chem 2 in Sem 2, biochem in 1st sem 3rd year OR you might be able to get biochem in sem 2 this year along with Chem 2.

I really doubt you can do biochem without having done much on organic and transition metal chemistry. It's likely that you'll have to do chem 2 over summer.

anyone recommend an easy breadth to boost my marks? I'm pretty sure i have the option of doing a level 1 breadth even though in my study plan there is only an option  for level 3... but anyway

Has anyone here done any marketing subjects? i'm thinking about doing 3 level 3 marketing subjects in semester 2 so i can get a major. I'm a little worried that most of these subjects consist of group assignments (i have social anxiety and no friends) and also, i never liked group assignments for obvious reasons (people not doing putting in etc)

Mainly interested in the commerce ones (actuarial and finance majors).
Asking this because I went to the commerce information session a couple of times and they had these sort of case studies on the PowerPoint slides.

Friend had an 85 and missed out and another had 87 and got it. I guess it fluctuates every year though

It changes year to year, and it changes depending on what year you're in.

You won't find out until the end of semester 1. They take a while to release the list.

Thanks so much!  If you reach 100 credit points during semester 1 (i.e. reach 125 points by the end of semester) will they count the extra 2 subjects. If not, how do they distinguish? And does it count for a combination of Bachelor degree and Concurrent Diploma?
