I did ARA 1st sem last year, and we did have a tutorial in the first week (unlike most other subjects). It wasn't a 'real' tutorial where you actually learnt stuff though, just a meet and greet.

Is it okay to attend lectures that you're not actually registered into? I've got a Psych lecture at 5:15pm on Tues and Thursday, and would prefer to go to the 10am ones, but all spots are gone...

Don't worry about attending full lectures. Every week the attendance for lectures drop by like 5% #blesslecturecapture

You need at least 80% to get a receipt that must be shown to your prac demonstrator. But you can get more than one chance so don't worry :)

How important are CHEM10003 tutorials? Can you get by without going to any? There are no chem tutorials available in my timetable

I would recommend you going to the tutorials, I found them very helpful. Especially Sonia's tutorials, she teaches everything so well and to be honest I found some of her tutorials more helpful than the lectures themselves.

In the tutorials you will get extra useful notes from your tutor as well as go through exam-style questions. A lot of the questions covered in the tutorial appeared in the exams as well.

I would recommend you going to them. They don't mark the roll so you can go to ANY.
2013-2014:| VCE
2015-2018:| Bachelor of Science (Neuroscience) @ UoM
2019-X:| Doctor of Dental Surgery (discontinued)
2019 -2021:| Master of Physiotherapy

Currently: Physiotherapist working at a musculoskeletal clinic. Back pain, sore neck, headaches or any other pain limiting your study? Give me a PM (although please do see your personal health professional first!)

Any questions related to pathways towards studying dentistry or physiotherapy? Gimmi a PM!

no attendance is taken for first year chem so you can rock up to any other tutorial running during the week despite it not being in your timetable. chem tutorials are very helpful so I would suggest you go.

What about for first year Biology? How worthwhile are the tutorials?

Hey man. Yeah, the ILTs are graded, obviously excluding the introductory one. Collectively, they're worth 5% of your total mark (so 1% each).

Any luck swapping classes with the window that was open today or still a shithouse timetable?

Hi,
What does this mean in terms of tutorials - 'Note if you have a Friday allocation – arrangements W7'
Also, I came across that we need a tutorial workbook for chemistry, yet there is nothing remotely similar to that in the coop book store. the lecturer even priced the resource as $12. Where can I find it. And in general, do these tutorial work books exist for other subjects, because I find them non-existent for all my other subjects as well.

Should be there, did you ask? It should be a binder book with a bunch of practice questions
