I just wanted to let you guys know that the university granted me special consideration for the BiOL10004 exam following the death of mother two weeks ago. I will be taking a supplementary exam in the special exam period (20th-24th of July). All up the university has been very helpful and professional.

Best of luck to you all for the rest of your exams.

@Ruffini I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family <3

To anybody who has sat exams the last two days, were the clocks digital or analog? SWOTVAC has already fried my brain and I can't remember what they used last year

At the Royal Exhibition Building they're digital (or at least they were where I was sitting)

Digital, I could see a few of the clocks from where I was sitting (East side)

Umm so SWOTVAC hasn't gone as planned and long story short I've only started my revision for the BIOM30002 exam today (and the exam is next Wednesday). I know I can get through all the lectures in that time (just) if I don't study one module but I don't know how on earth I'm going to tackle the short answer questions. Any advice from previous students on what I could do? Thanks.

You only have to write on four modules though, so why not cut two modules?

The short answer questions can be finnicky and a lot of detail is expected, but at this point I'd just focus on those things that they kept on emphasising. Each lecture had something that they banged on about for ages. Those are the kind of things they're going to test.

Tricky subject, but if anyone can pull through I'm sure you can :D

i have a mate that only passed 1/8 subjects last year and he had to have one of those meetings where they talk to you and ask you why you failed etc. and he said it was bc he was spending too much time at the gym and they restricted his enrolment to 3 subjects per semester
the meetings (at least your first one) is more of a "we are concerned about you" rather than a punishment. also fun fact you can bring a mate with you or something as a support person to these things because they are seen as quite stressful

wow and they accepted that (unless nice people spoke to him?) I feel a bit better now, thanks for letting me know
I think worst case scenario I'd fail 2 subjects this semester...

did he only have a meeting at the end of the year once they realised he only passed 1 subject? or did it happen in first semester?
