one of the prescribed texts for ECON10004 is Microeconomics: Case Studies and Applications by Jeff Borland, 3rd Edition. Does anyone know if the 2nd edition would do?
like spectroscopy said, you don't really need those books. the lecture slides should be enough

if a lecture is 'audio streamed' does this mean you can actually listen to it online live?

The BIOM30001 MST is no longer online and open book. How are they going to assess six weeks of content with two long answer questions?  :'(

hahahahaha that is bloody rough, wow.

Was definitely needed though to be perfectly honest. There was waaaaay too much of a tendency to slack off in Frontiers so will be good for you guys to have a proper MST.
What you'll find with Frontiers is that it's quite vague. There's not so much a need to get your head around detail, but rather concepts more broadly. That'll suit that format pretty well.

I read the subject reviews already so I knew it was going to be bad, but I was looking at that first set of lecture slides and the subject seems... weird. I have a feeling it might actually succeed in its goals; it's just that the cohort will probably feel that the subject is incompatible with what they're used to so far.

Yeah, I agree. The content looks pretty interesting and I think I will like the interdisciplinary approach. I guess it will depend on how the content is delivered.

The number of assessment tasks involved in Advanced Techniques and Frontiers has already got me feeling overwhelmed.

I obviously don't do the former, but pretty much all of my subjects this semester have a heavy assignment workload. I'm thinking I'm going to have to focus on those and worry about the lectures later. I really liked last semester because I pretty much just had tests which meant all I had to do was focus on the lectures.

Does anybody know how to access lecture capture for a particular subject (calc 2 in my case) if there is no link to the lecture capture site on the lms?

The subject information page says the lecturers are definitely recorded.

I had the same problem just now! Try using a different browser instead of chrome. For me, lecture capture worked when I used Microsoft Edge.

The subject coordinator is overseas and hasn't put up the link on the LMS yet.

We may be able to access it when she comes back

EDIT: y da downvote bruh?
