Does anyone know how many people they interview for the International Case Competition and eventually take in for the teams? Thanks

Did it last year.
It was around 36 --> 16 people taken

This year it's around 40 --> 20.

Yup, can't believe I'm going to my last year of undergrad next year too. Seems like yesterday I was finishing my year 12 exams.

They like seeing us suffer and making our lives terrible. It was like VCE wasn't enough for us.
Jack of all trades, master of none.
Hence why i'm in all these different threads and boards.

I'm a 2nd year science student hoping to do honours after 3rd year. At the moment I'm most likely majoring in neuroscience, I'm a bit worried that my WAM isn't good enough to get into honours, It's low 70s. The cut off is 65 but I've heard some people say that despite this you often need high 70s/80s to get into honours. Is this true? If I can't get into honours I'm fucked lmao

The cutoff for honours isn't a guarantee. You need to convince a supervisor to take you on and they frequently look at academic marks as a proxy for suitability. If you don't have outstanding marks, figure out some other way you can demonstrate value and build some relationships in your third year.

Hi all,

I'm currently studying at the University of Western Australia and am relocating to Melbourne at the end of the year - so my first preference would be to transfer to UoM. I currently study computer science, but want to drop that for chemistry. At the moment I am reasonably concerned about getting accepted. I finished high school last year with a 95 ATAR, and have a first semester WAM of 66 (pretty terrible) and am on track to improve it to improve it a couple percentage points at the end of this semester.

As I will have completed a full year of full-time study at the end of the year I believe that my entry is based on my university results alone, which may not be good enough to get me into a BSc.

Has anyone had any experience transferring to UoM?
What minimum WAM/GPA would be accepted?
If I were to drop two (broadening) units this semester I will not have completed a year of full time study - so could I use my atar results to apply?

I am a mix of super relieved and pissed.
One subject in the 2017 handbook is a pre req for one of my next core subjects, which is again a pre-req for the next... and hence this subject is essentially a pre-req for everything else in my degree. wELL 2018 handbook is now saying it isnt a pre-req anymore for my next year core.
Dying because I am on track to miserably fail but also because I've had to suffer this entire sem potentially nothing  :o
