I put the option (pearls 7&8 for one of them), no idea if its right though, didn't check it

i put that too, wasnt really a guess either i worked my way through it
s1 = reasonable
s2 = screwed up to the extent where i starting counting how many option "A"s i put (ended up being 18) im glad everyone found it difficult though,
s3 = pretty good, much easier than medentry.
only ambiguities for s1 were the 'false positive and false negatives' - i swear that didnt make sense :( did anyone else put 60% for the answer?
Also, did anyone manage to figure out the cube question?
where some kid builds two cubes, and his teacher 2,3,1,4 or something?
I was tossing up between 3,2,1,3 and 3,2,3,1 or w/e it was..couldnt find a relationship for the last two digits :(

Same, wasn't sure whether it was 1,3 or 3,1; ended up putting 3,1 as the last 2 digits
LOL that was the only question where i generally has no idea whatsoever as to the relationship between everything. I think i guessed A.

Haha - I hope I get some of my genuine guesses correct.... thought it seems unlikely knowing my luck :(

- I think it was 3,1 because I remember having a reason for it during the actual exam xD.

Completely off topic, but Tony3272 - your mathematician quote made me "lol" :D

I found that the relationship was sometihng like:   no. of columns:no. of cubes: no. of rows.... or something like that but i couldnt get the last one :/

:o
i did not even think of doing something like that. Wasn't in the s3 mode yet...

I think my logic went:
no, boxes : height : something : something = A

Section 1 was do-able, but quite tricky

Section 2 was a pleasant break from all the logic/graphs of section 1, but still, 2 answers are generally very close and its hard to pick one. The passages were far too long!

Section 3 was alright at the start with I got f*cked by the 'choosing the middle one' questions... I think I did horrible in section 3! guessed alot of stuff especially towards to end.

really hoping I'll get an interview... but if I don't.. no biggie.. I'll just do biomed or something else :D

I hope you guys went well.. it was quite stressful .. i hate that feeling when you get home and have to tell ur parents how u went =/

For that block question, the trick was to notice that this was viewed from above, not from the front. I think I put C.

The 4 digit number cube thingo was [# columns, number of shapes, number of rows, 4] as far as I could see/remember

Also found the same relationship for that :]
I wrote mine out as base, number of cubes, rows, 4.

Was the elephant question in s3, A? Because the circle moves in a +3 pattern..

I hated the code one :(.. 121x565..

i too found that pattern, although i thought i put C
I put the answer where the circle was located middle right

just thinking about it again, i realised i probably got:
- hymns question wrong, i think i put 7..
- R0 question/disease wrong

Wasn't the last number for the cube one the depth? Why 4?

i realised that they reused a couple of questions from the 2009 paperwhich i recognised (i sat it this year again and when I was in year 12 in 2009) not to name any question in particular tho =P

After reading all these suggested solutions, I actually felt pretty lucky in my guessing lol and here I was expecting I got annhilated. Thanks for cheering me up guys :3. Although I still think I screwed up my section 1 :S, section 2 (ok), section 3 (did actually pretty well max 5 mistakes) i think

Yeh that's what I did as well, so the last number should have been a 3, so A?

Yeah that's what I put. It's the only thing that made sense, and you couldn't see the depth of the other two and that's why most people wouldn't have seen a connection there, as the depth could have been anything.

As for how I went overall, found section one mostly easy with a few tricky/ambiguous ones, section two was harder with a LOT of ambiguous ones and section three was surprisingly straightforward (except for 1 or 2). :)

For the elephant one, I traced the ball around the elephant 1 movement every time and the elephant was turning clockwise 1 movement too or was is 1,2,3,4 but yea I think I got A
(ball) and elephant head facing<=
