what happens if you have a weak cohort but you are rank 1? will it ruin chances of a 50?

If you're rank 1, the strength of your cohort doesn't matter if you do well in the exam
My school had a weak cohort too, but my rank 1 status gave me an advantage when undertaking the exams
You'll just have no safety net for sacs (i.e. if you flunked on the exam, you'd have no one to pull your sacs back up). In a strong cohort if you were to do badly, others in your cohort will have done well in the exams, which will in turn pull your sacs back to an A+ (where otherwise it would have dropped according to the performance of your weaker cohort)
So to answer your question, rank 1 has high hopes of getting a 50 if you do very well in the exam.

hope that made sense

Will a revision lecture help ? E.g. TSSM, TSFX etc.
Which would be better for a bound reference ? Notes or the text book ?

i find notes is better as a bound reference because you understand your own notes rather than looking through the text book. plus you can add whatever you want in your own reference book i.e past exam questions, text book questions etc. whereas your text book you cant add anything.
