i know mate but...i cant get a freakin 0 that would be sooo unfair!. i mean i write fast so that i don't forget the point im gonna write. and my hand hurts by the time i got up to there, so writing went down hill. but it wasn't that bad you see. messy but not that bad.

i did write two pages full. and seeing they were going with their gut feeling on the marking, im sure i did ok in that section. i don;t want to lose marks over something so stupid as writing

this ssNake bloke sounds like a bit of a tool.

anyway, I suggest you get your paper inspected, even if you found out you made suome mistakes, it will at least put your mind at ease.

I agree Jdog... ssNake, just because you got a high score, there is a possibility others were marked unfairly or "badly."

Sorry, but if the same shit happened to you, and someone said what you said to this person, I wouldn't think I was top shit.
About Philosophy

When I see a youth thus engaged,—the study appears to me to be in character, and becoming a man of liberal education, and him who neglects philosophy I regard as an inferior man, who will never aspire to anything great or noble. But if I see him continuing the study in later life, and not leaving off, I should like to beat him - Callicle

Assessors are normal human beings that are being paid to mark papers. They can be unfair or pissed off and decide to take marks off for unreasonable reasons. Get it inspected for your own sake.

Err calm down.

It's a rule of thumb: it's exactly the same for English essays.

if you can't read the thing how the f do you get marks for the thing?

dude relax its not literally chicken scratch. like the user above said, they could have just pissed off or tired and fed up so just be like oh stuff this shit you get X out of 15. and i dont think we need external factors like that to ruin the amount of marks i could have possibly gotten.

Have you even got your statement? :S

Funny if you end up getting 15/15 and lost your marks in MCQ/SA :P

^Thats exactly what happened to me. Scored 13 for extended and got marked like a bitch on SA.. defs getting it inspected. To get marks changed what would they have to consider - to reiterate it; how would VCAA know it was 'unfair/they missed a page' to begin with to consider remarking? (Since they dont mark the paper)

Whilst I agree that it's quite unlikely for your marks to be changed, if you think that a question wasn't assessed or was missed then you should ask the VCAA to make sure it was. If you just disagree with a mark, it's almost certainly not going to be changed because lost marks are almost always justifiable, even if you're not sure why

lay off ssnaKe. I think all he's saying is that no - matter how much you've felt hard done by, if the examiner can't read your writing, no amount of complaining will change that. It is highly unlikely that you lost marks due to this, most likely is they didn't like your answer Some people have said they have machines to ensure you don't get a 0 but i'm not sure about it.This is the unfortunate truth.

WOuld there be much point complaining?
like I heard that VCAA don't generally change anything because it would affect the grade distributions which would mess up everyone else's mark

@playsimme: when you get it inspected at vcaa, does your teacher come? and what happens during inspection is it like just you get to see it or the examiner marks it again?
