The VCAA will send your school a photocopy of your exam, which you can look at with your teacher. You can't copy it and it gets shredded after you've examined it.

this ssNake bloke sounds like a bit...

...like ATAR/iNerd actually. Does the same subjects too ???

Although ssNake's respect is about 22 higher than iNerd/ATAR's... There are similarities though.

if you feel jibbed, what you can do is order an 'inspection of examination script' which is a photocopied version of your exam.
then, you and a teacher (one that teaches psych 3/4) can go over the paper. if he/she believes ur response to the question deserved marks and got none, she can get vcaa to remark your stuff

Turns out the answer was JUST context dependent cues, went through with my teacher (she's an assessor). If you put both they mark the first one you put down, and I put down state-dependent first, fml
(If it was not state-dependent.. why on earth would they include the word 'conditions' in the description?! stupid q)
Anyway, I am at ease now, just need to work harder for end of year.. and make sure I don't make RETARDED mistakes such as MISSING A MULTIPLE CHOICE -__________-"

ohemgee are you serious!!! you still wrote it down though wth..this is unbelievable. VCE shouldn't be about competition and doing anything to separate people..just it should be about how well you know the content and your ability to display your learnt knowledge. so what if everyone does well that way, why wouldn't we want that?

then how do you decide who deserves a uni course if everyone does well?

Whilst I don't know the specifics of the question, that's fair enough unfortunately. If you write multiple answers, they only mark the first one to stop people writing everything they can think of in order to assure themselves of the marks.

And as for everyone doing well...yeah, that'd be nice, but the main function of VCE is to produce a rank for selection for higher study so...if everyone got an A+...

well why can't everyone be able to be accepted in the course they want if they done well? its not like we won't be working hard this year, but these stupid trick questions don't have to be included..

like look i have a friend who is a super nerd in maths right but couldn't get a good mark in further because of the limited time you have in that exam. so despite knowing how to answer the questions, he just wasn't given the opportunity to do so because timing isn't on your side. get me?

otherwise a he could have nailed the exams. and also theres always the potential of doing silly mistakes with maths so they don't even have time to double check. at least there should be a reasonable amount of time given.

honestly this is my opinion, but then again i think back to everyone else who gets 50's or whatever in these exams and think oh my....

I completely understand, but unfortunately there will always be a need to separate students based on academic ability. It's still present at university, but less obvious because there's no overt scaling etc.

And again, yes, it'd be nice if people could get into the course they want but unfortunately there are real world concerns :(

world concerns? what do you mean?

For example, you'd like your lawyer to be educated. No point having a lawyer if they can't read and write.

(extreme example, but hopefully you get the idea :) )

Not really, I mean real world = practical. There are a limited amount of places at uni. They have to be distributed somehow and academic ranking is the "best" way of doing that for most courses.
