tbqh, i don't think you have any grounds to complain and even if you did, you wouldn't be successful. Get an inspection if you want to know exactly what you wrote but they're not going to reverse their decision on a borderline answer. Whilst I have no idea what your answers on the exam were, nothing about your SoM suggests that you weren't treated fairly. The two examiners marking your script may have differing opinions on an answer - that's why there are two of them. Pretty much, yeah, you lost a few marks but it's not that big a deal.

Not sure how i managed to get it wrong, pretty sure i just talked about how its soluble because hydrophilic means dissolve in water etc.

Did you state why hydrophilic means it will dissolve and did you state that the hydrophobic groups were contained within the core of the protein and thus not exposed on the cell surface?

2c) 1/2 ? To prevent him from getting scratched again ??? why has one examiner given me 0/1

Because that's not why he was told to do that. If you wrote that, you're lucky to have gotten 1/2.

5d) 1/2 Another easy question, it needs to block the active site! How did one examiner give 0/1

Did you just write "to block the active site" or did you specify the protease?

maaate, don't complain, you are in the box seat for a 50.

furthermore, it is expected you will lose points for semantics. i remeber having many 5/6 and 3/4 where one examiner gave me marks and the other didn't

Greatness

I dont think the examiner would skip a question - especially if they've been doing it non stop for a few hours. If anything they will be looking for key words.
Great score tho! :)

yeah i accept that. I am just starting to wonder now whether 1a) page was skipped by one examiner???

Theoretically possible, but based on the probabilities, I doubt it. It's 2 marks, even if you don't get them you've still scored >90% which is a strong score :)

Oh yeah - Russ, it was to prevent opportunistic infections i think???
pretty sure that's what i actually wrote i think XD :D

It's definitely got nothing to do with opportunistic infections, it's just to make sure there was no allergen trapped in his clothes/skin/hair/nails etc. that could prolong the response.
