Exam clash and derived score

I've got an exam clash with two of my subjects, coordinator is saying that this will be sorted out by VCAA. He also said that I might be able to get a derived score for one of the subjects, saying that last semester one student had 3 exams in one day (and 2 clashing) and was able to get a derived score.

So does anyone know what the go is with exam clashes and derived scores? What does VCAA actually do when they deal with exam clashes? Thanks!  ;D

A derived score because you have two exams in one day? I don't think for two, considering many people with midyears had two in one day. For three it seems plausible.
Yeah you need to contact VCAA (or were meant to a while ago).

If you had exam A and B clash, you do exam A, 1 hour break where you are supervised by VCAA, then exam B.

I suspect the reason the other guy got a derived score was because he couldn't do 3 exams on one day and would have gone home overnight and thus couldn't be allowed to do the 3rd one. I doubt you'll get a DES for a clash, you'll just do them in separate sessions but wait in a supervised classroom between them
