How's everyone feeling?     indifferent, mainly because i died at section 2, thought i did well for s1 and s3. and most of the people ive spoken to have said the same.
What have you decided to do if you do well?     med monash if i can pass the interview and acquire a decent atar. Willing to travel interstate

What are your backup plans if you don't?   many, comm/law, or perhaps a basic science degree and melb and pursue grad med

i have honestly, totally forgot completely about the UMAT

I wish I could forget about the UMAT :(. Comparatively, I think I failed it. Section 1, I found decent, yet much more difficult than some people are claiming (lost 10+ marks I think...) and section 2, my score will approach 0% :P.

For those who have done methods probability, I would be SHOCKED if my score was outside one standard deviation from the mean.

If I do well: Monash Med. (though very unlikely)

If I don't do well: Commerce or Science at Melb. (likely to change in the near future)

It's kinda weird actually, some people were going around saying they're pretty sure they got full score on section 3...which is kinda unusual.

a certain , Anthony of the S kind??
aww man, im terrified.

especially because i feel like i haven't done that well compared to what everyone else is saying haha.
and the fact that its on the internet, i think my parents will probably see first cuz its linked to their emails not mine, which is another shittty thing abotu it.

hopefully i can scrape a 93 or 94 for an interview, although itll probably be higher for monash this year,
I wouldn't be too worried what people say, there were a lot of people last year who thought they killed it and were faaarrr from it.

Awks though, I foretold myself that it coud happen, so I made sure it was in my email address haha. Perhaps set up an auto move to another folder when it's received? :P

yeah hopefully they are just bullshitting ,

do you reckon you got close to acing s3?

i thik i did reasonably well maybe a 30/38

Haha well I'd love to say that I did, but who knows. If, however, we are basing it upon finishing time and confidence, then yeah, I finished with 15 minutes to go and picked the sequence in each question? But I don't wanna get cocky, but hopefully my predictions hold true! I think for me personally though, I'm gonna need a decent score here, as my other two - especially S2 - are not gonna get me into Med...

mm fair enough;

im hoping for a more balanced set of results, at least that what i generally get, but again, who knows, i could have failed it, or boned it, most likely the former.

Haha yeah, I really don't think I'll have the kinda scores needed for UQ, I'd say the 50-50-50 rule will be out of reach :P

Oh well, good to know we're all in this together, hopefully there are at least a few of us that do well!

For those who have done methods probability, I would be SHOCKED if my score was outside one standard deviation from the mean.

you could have just said you dont think you'll get above 68 percentile LOL! :P

for someone of your intelligence though im at least expecting 2 SD's from the mean ;)

Just thought I would pull out some flaws:

1. Being within one standard deviation of the mean doesn't mean less than 68 percentile =.=. You should know this :P
Essentially, I am saying I will be within 16-84th percentile. (If this comes up in the methods exam, you owe me so bad! :D)

2. 68 isn't an exact figure, whereas my statement was. xD

Well, there are some people on this forum, who will probably get really high. Thushan and yourself are likely to get your respective 100 percentiles :P

hahah my bad, you do have a point, let me rephrase that
"you could have just said that you think you'll get in the middle 68 percent of all students
=.= are you happy now? :P LOL!

and yes, if that comes up on the exam, i will be very indebted to you :P

i will be as indebted to you as you would have been to me had i gone up to you on the day before the methods exam last year and told you to review similar triangles :P
LOL!

LOL!

=.= I knew the question required similar triangles. I just chose the wrong two triangles and thought they were similar.  Hence, any advice you would have given me would not have worked :P. Ah well, whats done is done.

You'll get >50 in the other ones and you know it... :P

But yeah, I don't think I aced any of the sections - probably completely failed section 2... it was a damn english test! Hoping 95, will probably end up with 70-80... :( Oh well, there's no way of really predicting how we went - some people who think they failed may end up with 100s...

people, we are all missing the fundamentals behind the umat
from what i've seen, most people believe they screwed up section, as it was hard/ambiguous
so take comfort in that :D
I have met one person who told me section 2 was 'easy' but for them s3 was really hard

Oh har har, I highly doubt that luff. I'd think you are more of a hope than I am. But knowing the randomness of scores, neither of us will probably do well and some randoms will be the ones that get high!
