Which methods & further exams are best?
« on: September 22, 2011, 06:48:57 pm »

So, I plan on doing a lot of practice exams for both subjects very soon....
And before I print off all these exams, I was wondering which ones are more worthwhile to do, for further and methods?

Any opinions would be very helpful!

MAV, CSE for methods, found iTute ones to be interesting as well. Neap/insight are always decent.
Heffernan is terrible for methods... mind you, it's a good self-esteem booster though but be wary that there may be some mistakes in the solutions.

About iTute, unless you are REALLY good at maths, don't try them. They are very, VERY difficult and a lot harder than the real exam would ever be.
I would recommend starting on MAV, as they are quite simple. TSSM are quite challenging for their maths exams, and it is worth giving them a shot.

Kilbaha are pretty good for both. TSSM are good but sometimes have these whack questions.

Just did the Methods 2011 Kilbaha which was really hard so if you want a challenge try that one. Otherwise I'd start with MAV as they tend to be the easiest then do some TSSM, Insight and NEAP and then do the Heffernan and VCAA as they will be the closest thing to what you will actually get at the end of the year.

I think for methods Heffernan are easier than VCAA so probably shouldn't go there.
For further I like Heffernan, MAV, insight :)

i think insight and heffernan are the easiest, kilbaha tend to be more tricky than difficult, tssm is time consuming...and neap is hard
