No that's not Islam, if you are a Muslim ( regardless of sect) you would love Muhammad, and if you were Sunni, then you would love all four of his companions equally, and if you were Shia, you might be giving preference to Ali.

Haha, obviously i know that. I was just trying to be controversial. If i know enough about islam to know that don't you think id also realise this ;) and to be honest it is a little bit more far than "giving preference" all the shi'a i've talked to really aren't a big fan of umar..

Pfft only one fatwa? I manage that before breakfast every day.

At least this thread hasn't degraded like some of the previous ones yet.

I bet if you asked muhammed he wouldn't say he was the best, just sayin'...

You are right when you said they have problems with umar, in fact much worse than that, I was just trying to find a nice way of saying it :)

I might also agree that prophet muhammed wouldn't name himself the best of mankind, considering his humbleness ( actually, I don't believe anyone would, unless he's just purely ignorant)  but its noted in the Quran, which is obviously not said by muhammed.
