Take a day off!

Hello!

So we are almost at the end and I did something today that I am very proud of.

I did absolutely no VCE work today. No note reading, no practice essays, no exams.

It is only 14.50 and I feel so relaxed. So refreshed.

I would encourage everyone to do this at least once in their final school holidays.

It is so worth it.

I've like... taken the week off.

My revitalised spirit is gradually becoming a guilty one.

This has been my holidays so far xD But i have had 2 lectures - so that's kinda studying.

Yeah i reckon that you really do need to wind down and just chill for a few days. After which you can start spamming your prac exams again! :P

I know how you guys feel! About a month ago my parents were out for the day, and after I finished my third timed english paper for the day, I was like 'No way man! I'm gonna rebel! I'm gonna take a 20 minute break before marking this paper!' then I like totally watched an episode of miniscule for about 5 minutes, and spent 10 minutes playing tetris. Shit was unreal man!

But then my parents came home and I sprinted back to my study and pretend like I had been working the whole time! I deleted tetris off my computer just in case they hacked it to find out if I had been studying or not.

So far they haven't said anything, so I think I'm in the clear! I just hope they haven't made accounts on this forum to keep a track of what I'm doing... Otherwise they might send me back to Kolkatta :S

LOL...a day off is nothing.  I wish I could limit it to just a day.

I am paying the price big time for taking many days off at a time right now.

Anyway, rest up...but, remember to give it everything.  You are so close to the end, you don't want to come out of it with regrets.

Dude, that is intense. You have my deepest sympathy.
About Philosophy

When I see a youth thus engaged,—the study appears to me to be in character, and becoming a man of liberal education, and him who neglects philosophy I regard as an inferior man, who will never aspire to anything great or noble. But if I see him continuing the study in later life, and not leaving off, I should like to beat him - Callicle

It's better to have a couple of days off (well for me now since the start of the holidays) then to work yourself to death and have a nervous break down. I have to start work tomorrow, but that is what I said yesterday. I even had the whole day of work planned and well I turned on the PS3 for a 10 min race online (F1 2011) and well it turned into a 8-9 hour marathon. I'm going to repeat this to myself again. I MUST START WORK TOMORROW!

I remember my mate once advising everyone to "take a few minutes off late in the evening" with a highly suggestive wink.

He also said something along the lines of "I feel so relaxed. So refreshed."

Take a few minutes off the morning of an exam too.
