for the english exam, i herd that if u write u esays on the texts/novels that are more popular then ur bound to not do well in contrast to writting up ur essay on unpopular books as ur bound to stand out from the crowd. either way u have to write in high standard, but does the book u chose (popular/unpopular) hinder u ability to achieve good grades?????????????????

The ability to write in proper grammar certainly does
Ironic for you to point this out, as what you are saying is "the ability to write in proper grammar 'hinder u ability to achieve good grades'"
Essentially saying good grammar = bad grades.
:P
I doubt the book you choose, based on its popularity has any effect on your grade.. It's not something you could really determine anyway

Simply put, a good essay will be a good essay. Choose the text that you enjoy the most as you're more likely to write an insightful piece on that text if you actually like it. Plus... you'll have more fun :D I find writing on a text that I really like makes the task a lot easier to handle.
