our school's one was pretty hard, and so many people failed it. However, i managed to survive...

I think it may be different across schools.

For instance, we didn't have a volumetric analysis SAC but rather, instrumental analysis.

I got 17/18 for gravimetric sac and 14/14 for volumetric.

our 2 components both included pracs though.

oh you guys did two sacs , we just did one which covers gravimetric and volumetric.

It is said by many teachers that students did really bad, we haven't got it back yet though..

i reckon 27/32 is not bad, just try harder next time :)

Yeah we did 2 pracs, one grav and one volumetric. But they counted as 1 sac, just 2 components :)

Yeah the teachers at our schools marked really harshly, especially my friend who got really pissed at harsh marking lol...

Hmm we're doing an EEI (Extended Experimental Investigation) with 3 pracs, volumetric, gravimetric, and colorimetric. The marks come from a "pre prac test" and a written report thing which we do later on test conditions, but we get to bring in our results and stuff.

yeah, thats exactly what we had, except, we did gravimetric, redox titration, back titration and normal titration. We had single period tests for all of those areas and then had to do a massive report in the end.

My first sac was on instrumental techniques

don't think i will have one on gravimetric and volumetric analysis, because my teacher said it was just revision

That's something similar to what I did.  Except my EEI comprised of:

1.  Back Titration.
2.  Normal Titration.
3.  GLC (except this one was just analysing some "dummy" data.  Didn't do an actual prac).

After the three pracs, I had the big write up.

My sac was an EEI. Ours was on AAS and UV-VIS (the actual instruments were brought in, and we had to analyse cordial) . wasnt too bad, although it went for like the whole day
