Hi, I was just applying for scholarships on the VTAC website and I came across the 2nd question: What type of scholarships do you want to apply for : (Merit) or (Access and Equity and Merit) scholarship? Whats the differences and what would you choose if you were me ?

Merit is purely based on your academic performance. (all unis)

Access is generally based on your background and some academic prereqs (melbourne)

Merit and Equity is a combination of your background (the prereqs are somewhat loose if you ask me) and your academic performance (monash, and maybe some other unis)

You don't choose I believe, if you are eligible then you will be considered. Obviously Merit will carry the most prestige.
vce: english, methods, spesh, chemistry, physics, geography.
