VCAA Exams templates..

Hi guys.. I just completed the 2010 exam for accounting today and lost a mark on the cash flow statement because i didn't summarise the net flows for each category (ie. Net Operating Outflows $2000).
I did do that at first actually but then there was no space so I left it out and everything fit in. So right now I'm finding the VCAA answer books kind of dodgy.. Should I just draw lines in and add to the table? For some reason though I feel I shouldn't need to do that..
