It is the furthest thing from reliable, hence the alludes but it's probably accurate considering our discussion in the other thread and my workload.

I know it's a bit early to make a timetable considering I should be studying for my VCE exams LOL but I'm just so excited about Uni so I thought I'd make one :P

Basically I crammed almost everything into Monday (8:00AM-5:15PM with a single break from 2:00-2:15PM) so I only have 1 or 2 subjects for each of the remaining weekdays.

Is this efficient or just plain stupid?

I don't think it's stupid, although you'll probably want a break in that Monday!

I don't think it's a good idea. But that's just me. I can understand why you would want to cram it. But if it's free time that you're after. You're still gonna have plenty of it if it's nicely spread out. I lose concentration after 3 hours of anything. xD

It is incredibly stupid, especially since you don't even get a day off out of it. You're basically going to be running an 11 hour day, which is crazy.

Move the economics and accounting tutes and it's much more manageable, but still pretty full. I try not to have more than 5 hours in one day or I feel pretty wiped at the end of it.

He does have a LOTE in there to break up the day though, it's not like it's 9 hours of intense processing (unless LOTE is hard).

I second Russ, If you're going to cram make sure you get at least one day off, the time it will take you to commute (everyday), prepare for your classes and uni meals and so forth defeats the purpose

EDIT: For the love of common sense dont.keep.your.monday.schedule

WHY ARE ALL THE SUBJECTS THAT I WANT TO TAKE IN SEMESTER TWO??

I know! It's like they're trying to make semester one boring.

Haha, where are you thinking of ending up anyway?

Honours -> PhD or MD, depending on a coin toss if I get both offers

Interesting :) Keep us posted!

@ acinod - you can check the previous ones (archived from handbook homepage) and then compare the pair. Don't think there's a changelog though.

@ mavisgibbons - it's about time you don't have a timetable I envy.

I was wondering if it was just me! There are soo many semester two subjects that look good, but I can't find much for semester one that looks interesting. Some of the third year history subjects look interesting, but I don't know if I want to take a third year subject in first semester.

Unfortunately I think I have to go to Uni everyday because Maths has a lecture everyday except Wednesday, Economics has lectures only has Tuesday/Thursday and Chinese only has lectures on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. So that leaves me with 2 maths practicals, an economic tutorial and an accounting tutorial to play around with. But technically I can't play around with the 2 maths pracs much since I only have like two possible times for them ==

In this case, since I have to go to uni everyday, is it better to split up my days evenly?

Hold up, can we take third year subjects in second year? On the handbook it says you need 50 points to move up a level. I would really love to do level three too but I had thought we couldn't.

It's a personal decision. Bear in mind that you can skip most lectures and listen to them online, so if I have a single lecture on friday afternoon, I tend to not go and lectopia later.

Well, I took two second-year subjects this year, and nobody has stopped me. I think those things are mainly just a recommendation. I don't think that taking one third-year subject can really be called progressing to the next level anyway. You'd have to ask the student centre I guess.

Ask the ss, I didn't even think about this.  But I think it should be fine - maybe you have to do 50 pts of anything to progress, or maybe it's just the jump from 2nd to 3rd level?
