Haha I remember Joshua Yuvaraj (the guy from MHS who got 50) saying at his lecture that he wrote 18 pages (or something along those lines) in the exam.

Though he did say that it was 'way too much' so yeah xD ... so don't try to form a relationship between number of pages written and study score :P

Often quality+quantity>quality sans quantity, however.

For the record, I know of plenty of people who scored 50 who wrote massive amounts.  I personally did 19 pages all up, and the only section I got full marks on was for a 7 page essay.

^ touche...

I'm averaging 2-3 pages...my handwriting is fairly cramped though.

EDIT: per essay, of course. Total for my practice exam at school was 8 pages :D

I don't think that script book is the same because in english I remember hte script books were really pretty. blue and yellow and grey or something and like there is no border, the lines extend across the page though there might be a margin on the left hand side. I wrote on spare GAT script books that I took in June to practice and gauge how many pages I needed to write to get the sufficient word count of my usual standard.
And no it's perfectly fine 18 pages. I write like 5 pages because my handwriting is atrocious. It's normal. Everyone else just has neat small handwwriting.

** 5 pages per essay

how many words per line do you write..

for me i write about 9-10

and about 20 lines per para plus about a combined 15 for intro and conclusion which is ~900-1000 words all up

and thats only about 2.5-3 pages..

no idea how you write 7 pages in an hour..

Some people do, its genuinely scary....I remember last year while sitting a year 11 sac [lol] I think me and most of the class wrote about 2 pages or so. The dude next to me wrote 8, I was shitting myself because I thought I had written 0 in comparison to him -.-

Yeah how many words would you say you are writing for 18 pages? I just counted up the amount i wrote in a normal exercise book for one page and it was 530 words.
Although considering that, it was a page of physics notes. (probably the only notes i've done all year)

I usually write 4 pages per essay, sometimes 4 and a bit for context, and my handwriting is medium-ish...
One thing our external marker said was to leave a line between paragraphs - something I never used to do, but I should probably start seeing as my writing is so messy that it looks like my essay is one giant paragraph...
