At least 2 for each piece, if there's a discrepancy of more than (I think?) 1 mark, then it'll be passed to higher powers to give the ultimate determination.

not sure of the exact number but i would think it would be more than two because i dont think one assessor marks all 3 of your sections, so maybe one will mark LA and another one will mark text and context and you double that because of cross-marking so 4. I may be completely wrong though lol

bob hillman came to our school, gave an anecdote about marking a girls essays, awesome LA but ran out of time on the other two....so judging by his words, i assume two markers

In one of the examiners reports it says no less than six so I would assume two for each section.

It's two markers per essay, so six markers overall. It has to be a discrepancy of more than two marks for it to go to a third marker (who doesn't get told of the initial marks). That's the equivalent of one giving it 7 and the other a 4, so the gap's actually pretty big. This is all from my teacher, who's been a marker for the last couple of years.
