It was only in the front of the booklet of the expository section that we had to put the name of the text we used right?

like there were two boxes, one for our context and the other for the text?

where did it say to put the prompt, i think i missed it ???!

you only needed to put the context eg. "ENCOUNTERING CONFLICT"
and then in the other box the name of the text eg. "THE CRUCIBLE"

you DID NOT need to write the style of your piece. NOR did you have to write the prompt. there was only 1 prompt for each context. i dont think the examiners will get confused :P

It's little things like the SAC booklets my school would do that I realised I took for granted...
I hope everyone knows that the markers don't see those pages... they're not scanned in, from what I've heard.

i know someone who drew her note-form summary diagram (part of section C language analysis in ESL) on the blank parts of the booklet. a lot of us originally thought that the blank space was allocated for the diagram as well. but oops. :|

'scanned' as in, the copies are sent for examiners to mark, right?

Pretty much, the copies sent to the examiners aren't the originals: the process that has been explained to me is that they're catagorised by people, then made into electronic copies, then sent to the markers.
It's like the "this page is intentionally left blank" on some things like the GAT & the AIMS tests we did in earlier years of school.

Or at least, that is what I've been told.

(mentioned a few times when I've asked various people about marking process, and my english teacher once told me not to write parts I forget, leave out and add in later on the left hand page because the examiners don't actually get that page)

So if i didnt write 'BLANK' on the first page they'll scan the whole book right?

Do you think i should call up VCAA and tell them i started on the second page?

You'll be fine. They get all the pages, just not the unlined ones.

hahaha, don't quote me to vcaa on that, I'm not 100%
but diagrams? They wouldn't grade you on that anyway, to be honest...
