was this exam harder than previous years?

i thought core was ridiculously easy (other than the slyness of Q12) trig was on par as normal graphs and relations were harder and matricies were matricies. overall i thought it was relatively easy in comparison.

11 12 and 13 in the core are all kinda tricky, i'd never heard of 2 moving mean and i 11 doesnt actually say which is the IV and which is the DV

i hate to say it but 2010 was definetly an easier exam, i thought anyways. There was just some really different and sly trig and geo ones in comparison, and the matrices Q's were unusual, some anyways.

I thought the Core was quite difficult, but i didn't think the modules were harder, although you definitely had to be alot more careful when reading the question, because some of them were worded quite confusingly

doing past exams leading up to the one we did yesterday I was scoring 75% average.. but during the exam I scored 95%.. don't know if it was just exam room pressure or what but it definitely seemed easier than the other years

Core was easy except for the seasonal index question which got me thinking.
Number patterns = easy.
Geometry was difficult I reckon, I lost my only 3 marks in that section.
I lost my marks on:
the parallelogram - didn't consider the longer side, it can be assumed that many also made this mistake
the depth of the water - forgot to use similar triangles, used similar shapes instead. this same question wasn't handled well on last years exam and im assuming the same will happen this year.
the last question on geometry - many people guessed this question, I used similar triangles for the wrong triangles and added the area to it, however thosed who used the wrong method were able to get this correct (tad annoying).

matrices were easy as usual.

I didn't expect geometry to have as many challenging questions

Yeah, I agree that the 2010 exam was quite easy. I can tell that they tried to challenge us this year with different forms of questions from previous years though. Thank goodness I managed to get a pretty decent mark Anyone else notice how they worded questions differently and their questions were asking for things we probably weren't exposed to as much?

yeah i think it was getting kind of repetitive towards the end and they probably thought it was too easy fir students to predict was was going to be on the exam...

i think this morning's exam was the hardest in this study design. i mean, i was winning all my vcaa exams i did under exam conditions and didn't second-guess my answers whereas this one, i think i completely fucked it up.

oh well, now all i can do is text everyone i know saying 'fuck methods tomorrow. lol jokes i do further'.
