Mathematical Methods CAS Exam 1 Discussion - How was it??

How was it?

- Difficulties
- Length
- Any...unusual questions?

Guys who did well - nice work! Don't get cocky though, it's only 22%, you still have exam 2.
Guys who didn't do so well, head up. It's only 22% - you can beast the next exam. You can get an A in this exam and still end up with 47-48. Example = Luffy.

Sticky this mods! :D

Fairly descent, however, some of the questions were interesting to say the least  ;D. Interesting to see what the A+ cut off will be this year.

i think it was harder than previous years but maybe it was because of exam conditions. I think the cut off will be about 36 maybe.

You do have a valid point exam pressure does get to your head a bit. It took me a good 10 minutes after reading time to get in the zone. 36/37 is probably spot on for A+

Almost everyone found it harder than previous years at our school. Personally I found it was a really good exam. I usually finish with more than half the time left but this time I only haf 5 mins left. There probability question with the absolute function wa particularity annoying and I spent the most time on it since I kept getting probabilities more than I because there wad a lot of fraction work involved. Then afterwards people were telling me I could have just found the area.
I made a lot of careless algebraic mistakes which will probably cost me a couple of marks. Hopefully the A+ cutoff will be lower this year considering most people found it hard.
