Nooooo I got the maximal domain wrong. Forgot to include -2 and -8. It's square bracket not round bracket :(

Good as, found it pretty straightforward, although the last part of the last question took me a while. Got 19 + 3 root 5 for the length, swear that was worth more than 1 mark -.-

i think a lot of people overdid the question O_O or is it just me? i thought all u had to do was sub in the a = 3root 5 into the L equation. at first i also thought, seems hard, but then looked at it and it was only worth 1 mark which led me to the conclusion that u only need to sub it in. cause they dont tell you what theta is unless u took it from the previous question..
Yes but it is asking for the maximum L, so you had to take it from the previous questions didn't you, when dl/dtheta =0?
im not the best at maths so im not really sure..but that could also be working out the minimum true? im not sure though. thats why im also looking on the forums D:

Answer was 19+3root5
What did you people say for maximal domain question?

R\[-8,-2]

Should be open brackets as it can equal -8 and -2

Yeah, when you let dl/dtheta = 0 you get costheta=2sintheta and i just subbed that into sin^2 theta + cos^ 2 theta = 1 and found costheta and sintheta values, pretty sure they woulda said in terms of theta otherwise like they did in the other questions, although the marking scheme could just be retarded

Fark, I think this guy has a point. Maybe L is maximum if theta=pi/4 cause thats like the middle, SHIT.

I was thinking that in reading time, and when it came to the question I don't know where that thought went...

This was the first time in all my life, i came out of an exam, knowing i failed. Completely shattered
methods was my top 4, now its going to end up like max 37...
goodbye 40 in methods.
so hard.

Don't say that, guys - Remember that exam 2 + sacs is worth way more than exam 1 alone. Don't let this exam bring you down, you need to have confidence, trust yourself, and do your best tomorrow! Don't dwell on the past - my advice is get off VN, have something nice to eat, do a bit of exercise to clear your brain, relax. Let your mind and body settle from post-exam excitement/anxiety and get yourself in a good headspace for tomorrow.
I won the GAT: 49/50/50.

I can't believe that VCAA made that question about c and d ambiguous

wait so r u guys saying we had to use theta=pi/4 .....FML.....would explain why it was worth 1 mark

It's looking good except for stupid mistakes in the easy stuff. And I'm not sure wether I put a=4, m=8 or m=4 and a=8  :-\

Fkk, stuffed up the maximal domain, was thinking of root(9-x^2) and did [-8,-2]....
