Was pretty fine until the last two questions. That very last question, worth one mark for so muc fucking working out. Really VCAA, really!!??

All in all, it was a decent exam, it was balanced with most of the first half of the exam being quite easy and the last two questions being rather challenging, I think it was a lot more "algebraic" than past VCAA exams which is good for all of us who make a lot of adding/subtracting/fractional errors.

Guess you full marked it then.
And how is it being a lot more 'algebraic' better for us kids that make heaps of retarded errors LOL? I said 4x-3=0 made x=2/3 and factorised x^2+10x+21 into (x-3)(x-7) :(

It means it is harder for everyone else aswell, so overall the average score would probably be lower, so those 1 or 2 stupid things don't drag us down as much as less people jump above us. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we need hard exams otherwise we stuff ourselves when we do 2+2=6 (just note, not too hard it still has to be doable)

all i have to say is fuck you vcaa. fuck you.

no rates of change, no nomals/tangents, no inverses, no approximate change or approximation, no epic probability questions with like z-scores etc, no sketching of graphs.

i should be studying for exam 2 right now but im too depressed about that exam 1.

GAH.

8 X 16 does not equal 16. why did i do that.
(ends rant)

The thing I hate about methods is that even for hard vs easy exams, the a+ cut off fluctuates by like 1 - 2 marks... Lame.

for the domain question, would you still be right in saying:

R\ (-8,-2) ????

Thoroughly disappointed by a lack of inverse and tangent/normal questions

Really? I'm hoping they'll be a monster tangent/normal question tomorrow, because a lot of people struggle with that.

You missed the part where these questions were ridiculously easy for exam 1.

Usually tangents/normals for extended response in exam 2 are really hard...

It should be right, thats what I put. Hoping that I remembered curved brackets instead of square ones.

Because we are studying probability. what sense does it make that you take probabilities whereby the outcome is guaranteed? That is not probability?

And neither is getting the probability for p being equal to 0.5.
