The thing is, although it may be fine....98 N is far too convenient not to use g = 9.8

nah, if you put m=20kg that's fine, they won't be that tight, i'm 100% certain on that

but what about 196/g though?! argh! if they don't give me my mark they're hypocritical because that have g's everywhere in their assessment reports!

"Many students left their answers in terms of g." (2009 Assessment Report).

That's bull, they should have allowed the answer in terms of g, given VCAA uses g in answers sometimes!

There's more:
Quote
A large number of students were unable to evaluate 50g; the most common errors were 49 and 500 (despite g=9.8 being printed in the instructions). Many students left their answers in terms of g.

I guess we can say "gg"?  :P

I dont think they would accept it to be honest.
It was a pretty straight forward exam, so they will probs mark harshly
And my teacher whos an exam marker took told me never to leave my answers in terms of g

My teacher told me to leave answers in terms of g!! what the hell? =.="

I'm actually pissed now cause that was a relatively easy exam which a lot of people would get 40/40 for, but seriously? =.=" I actually regret not reading the assessor's reports now :(

Yeah, they actually do, all the time, a = g/6 ms^(-2)...etc

i still think you will be though..

you're just saying that :P LOL! do you actually believe it? :P
