is the structure basically just a short intro saying something like 'yes, but...', then several body paragraphs and a conclusion overall evaluating what was asked? if it was asking to evaluate.

just wanted to check, thanks

Another Question:
Anyone got any ideas what the essay question would be roughly speaking? Any assumptions being passed around??

There is only a certain amount of stuff it can be on really. something that can be discussed and evaluated (so along the lines of 'compare this and this' or 'evaluate parliament as a law-maker').

I feel like it might be something to do with parliament and the courts, but i don't know why i think that. i am sure others have a myriad of ideas as well.

I don't think they've done it before but I wouldn't be surprised if the 10 marker was on Canada and Australia. I think having a 'simple' ten marker like that would help students adjust to the extra ten marks.

I really hope not, South Africa and Australia's protection of rights is impossible for me to grasp. :'(

God I hope it isn't Canada and Australia, I hate that! Maybe just me.

Personally, I'm probably part of the minority who really hopes it's a big question on evaluate adversary and compare with inquis.

Meh, a man can hope.

Yeah i think its going to be about the protection of rights. Either regarding the methods used by Australia and an evaluation or an evaluation of ours and a comparison with another country.

Just to clear something up, considering my class has done South Africa, they can't ask any questions specifically relating to Canada? Am i right?

If I had to guess I would probably say that the 10 Marker will be something about FAT (fair + unbiased, Access to legal system, Timely Resolution). IMO they have exhausted the Parliament questions in previous years.

YOU CAN CHOOSE! EVERY SCHOOL HAS STUDIED A DIFFERENT COUNTRY! My class studied South Africa, so obviously I will write about South Africa's Constitutional approach taken to protect Rights.

Sweet, just making sure. BTW, what are the main differences and similarities you have between Aus and S.A?

South Africa's Constitution has an entrenched Bill of Rights, which is very comprehensive and protects many rights such as Political rights, cultural rights and social rights. Australia's Constitution also has very entrenched rights, however it isn't as comprehensive as the South African Bill of Rights and it only protects very few rights.

I'll make a Word File for ya to give you a broader overview...
