Before exams, do any of you have any sort of rituals/habits that you must do before the exam?
I myself just listen to music and try not talk/listen to anyone before going into the room. 8)

i go to the toilet a lot. about 2-3 times in the span of 20 minutes. yknow, just in case. can't lose precious 120 minutes talking about kotter's and POLC. also during the exam i take out my little bottle of peppermint essential oils to sniff, it helps calm me down. and whenever my hand starts to hurt i do some random stretch with my thumb that my friend showed me, apparently it helps with rsi. hmm what else. oh and i smile a lot at the examiners who usually stand outside the hall before exams start. in case something goes wrong during the exam (like a nosebleed or something) they would be nice to me. i don't know. i'm having a mini panic attack right now actually, especially when everyone on atarnotes are branching out on what i thought would be the 10 marker. argh.

I take 2 nurofen and keep telling myself that in 2 hours it will all be over.. my reason for taking nurofen is because I've been getting headaches around 4pm every day and don't want to leave anything to chance.. I've also been told barley sugar helps you to stay alert and it definitely helped when our teachers were giving them out to everyone before the English exam :P

Also i chew a chewy cause i'm cool like that. Helps me let out frustration by chewing really hard. Although i don't think the kids around me would appreciate that. ;)

I have an enormous ritual. I get to the exam place wearing my favourite shirt and socks and ensure that I've spent exactly 11 seconds to put my tie on (top-button is not done up). I usually go to the school library before an exam and turn on my Nintendo DS (which is at exactly 79% charge), I then ensure that I have caught a shiny pokemon within the next 15 minutes of my DS being on. If I don't, I know I'm doomed. Once caught (in the time or less), I pull out my CAS and, to calm my nerves, sketch random polar and parametric equations for about 5 mins. This usually leaves me with 15mins to go. I go to my locker and store my phone, DS, CAS, etc and grab my pencil case, ID and drink bottle. I take one sip from my 750mL drink bottle (that's it). On my way to the exam room, I ensure that I don't bump into anyone or any walls, however, I do take the stairs by twos. Once outside the room, waiting, I talk to no-one except anyone who is not sitting the exam and hum a tune of my own choosing (preferably in iambic pentameter though). Once in the exam room, I ensure my table and chair are not wobbly and the take another sip from my drink bottle, then, the paper begins. Throughout the process, I ensure to not walk on any cracks or walk under any ladders, I also refrain from going anywhere near Platforms 12 and 13 in Flinders Street (safety, more than anything else).

naaahhh, I actually just get there and sit the exam, nothing special :)
