Is it normal for tutors to add students on linkedin?
Wait, hang on, not normal. Is it appropriate?

I reckon it's okay. All adults, not high school etc.  certainly a bit odd.

Don't know about tutors but the higher up you get, lectures become smaller and the lecturers get to know you much better. I have a few lecturers on there, and in a few cases they were the ones who initiated connection. A connection with an academic never hurts!

What today's exam has taught me:
Kais is a crazy man who has very different definitions of "easy" when compared to the common man. I'm in so much trouble for my stats exam...

I'll be in serious trouble for both if the exam marks are not scaled...

You already reckon you're going to do badly in stats? I mean, with a bit of luck, it could be identical to all the sample exams (since they're all identical to each other and the mid-sem/practice mid-sem anyway...), unlike that monstrosity. >.<

Unrelated question to exams:
I have enough units to complete an extended major in stats and a major in chemistry, however am considering doing a second year chem research project. But, if I do the second year research project, doing the extended stats major becomes difficult (does open me up to a stats major + chem extended major, though I doubt I'd go down that). Was wondering if anybody here had experience/advices for me? Basically, my two options are:

-"Fancier" sounding degree
-Chem research project

I've had a friend that wouldn't stop complaining to me about this very subject, hahah. I don't get why they wouldn't get you guys to do actual complex analysis and stats separately if you could? Is spare units that hard to come by in the science/engineering double degree? :S

If you have enough units to complete an extended major in Statistics and a major in Chemistry, you can simply replace one of your 3rd year coursework CHM unit with a 2nd or 3rd year research project, and isn't that it?

Yeah, I thought about that, but I dunno just feels funny to me to lose that chem unit. :S But I was thinking of doing a third year anyway, with the second year just as fun (because I REALLY want to try out some research), so I could just drop the third based on how I feel after the second. I DON'T KNOW THERE ARE SO MANY DECISIONS THAT PROBABLY WON'T INFLUENCE MY FUTURE IN ANY WAY BECAUSE HONOURS BUT NYEHHHHH. :<
